OUR EXPERIENCE IN MONFRAGÜE AND THE FIO

This blog we are going to dedicate to the international fair of ornithology that It was celebrated on the 26th, 27th and 28th of February in the national park of Extremadura “Monfragüe”.

For us it was a great opportunity to know birds that you can find in this prestigious park, thanks to the help of a guide in this topic and the knowledge of our English's teacher, Jesús Montero Melchor ,a great fan of the ornithology.

First of all we will do an introduction about the parks of Extremadura and the birds that we can find in Monfrague

Rural turism in Extremadura

In Extremadura is beginning to increase rural turism .that means that people is going to villages, campings, etc…

It is because of some different situacions, like city contamination or crisis.

Young people almost always go to campings because it is a cheaper way to visit different places,to meet other people has not seen in their all life.

Some good places to go in spring are Gata , Gredos and natural parks too.

In my opinion these are the most beautiful places to go.

Have you ever seen a bird?

If you believe that you have , you are mistaken, that is because you have not been in Monfragüe.
Monfragüe is a protected natural park located in Extremadura, Spain.

It is a place to see birds like never before. You just have to be equipped with good walking trainers, binoculars, bird guide and jump in the right places, keep silent and patient waiting to be calm that nature do the rest.

In these environments there are different types of birds, in our experience there, we observed: griffon vultures, Egyptian vultures, cormorants and even an imperial eagle.

We saw birds apart from other animals such as deer that were grazing along the road where we could see them very closely.

If only we could see a few birds there is great diversity of them due to climatic conditions that make it possible for this place unique in the world.

To continue we will talk about the experience of Álvaro who had the privilege of being in one of th

e stands.

The experience in the stand of the university of Extremadura was very interesting.

We must orientate and report about degrees and the different activities which you can do in Extremadura.

It was my first experience at the labour world of which I´ll have good memories , and I´m grateful for the opportunity that I receive.

26th of Febrary

The students of ADE/TUR and Tourism visites Monfragüe coinciding whit the fair of Tourism FIO where in the fair with representatives of our faculty.

On the one hand, the visit began in the Penafalcom, it is a place fantastic where you can find from Monk Vulture and black stork

Then, we still seeing oriels, in where we could see achieve to see the king eagle and the bird rock rush

One of the things that was amazing for me was the lesson of the guia about the ages of the bird. The bird of the same species have different colours to each age, for to see the differences betwwen them.

On the other hand, the students learnts new experiences and knew one of beutiful places of Extremadura.

In conclusion we rely on the experience of another classmate of our group of work that it was in the excursion on Saturday

On Saturday we went to the fair a very small group of people, it was very badly time and we were in orange alert in the whole provincial of extremadura, at the begining of the day it did not do air but as the hours were happening the weather start to deteriorate.

We could see big professionals of the ornithology observing birds and they taught us like to differentiate several birds for his feathers and his structure.

It was very interesting since we could see birds really beautiful as for example the rabilargo that we had a few meters of distance and we could feed it with bread.

When we arrived to the village we saw the destroyed tents of the fair and for us it was very sad because we could not see it.

When we went back home I remain slept in the bus because it had been one very long and exciting day.
